Where Our Classes Are Held
All of our baking classes in London are held at our dedicated Bakery School, in the heart of Bermondsey. This is not a sterile demonstration kitchen; it’s a working bakery environment where our expert chefs guide you through every step with care and precision, whether you are picking up a piping bag for the first time or looking to refine techniques you already have.
Who Are Baking Classes Designed For?
Our workshops are designed to be genuinely accessible. Complete beginners are well catered for, and more experienced home bakers will find plenty to get their teeth into across the full programme. If your schedule is tight, our After Work Baking Classes offer a 90-minute session that fits neatly around a working day.
What You Can Learn
Our workshop programme covers a serious range of French patisserie techniques. Current classes include croissants, pain au chocolat and pain aux raisins, a four-way brioche workshop including the cream for Comptoir's famous Brionut, mini French tarts, macarons, éclairs and choux pastry, vanilla slices, sourdough and baguettes. We also have our new cake baking & decorating workshop where you’ll learn to transform a simple sponge into something worth showing off.
What You Take Home
Everything you make is yours to take away; that means leaving with a box of freshly baked croissants, a tray of macarons, or a decorated cake you made from scratch! It is one of the more satisfying ways to spend a few hours in London, and considerably more memorable than another evening on the sofa.
