Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and Services to you.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any color will be accurate.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or Services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at anytime without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or Service made on this site is void where prohibited.
We do not warrant that the quality of any products, Services, information, or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms of Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our site.
If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).
SECTION 17 - ENTIRE AGREEMENT
The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
These Terms of Service and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site or in respect to the Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and governs your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).

SECTION 20 - BAKERY SCHOOL AND LESSONS
1. Health and Safety
For everyone’s comfort and safety, all participants are kindly asked to wear closed-toe, flat, non-slip shoes. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to admit participants who do not meet this requirement.
If you have any cuts or wounds, they will need to be covered with a blue plaster. We’re happy to provide one during the lesson if needed.
If you have experienced food poisoning within the past 48 hours, or have been in contact with someone who has, please let us know and refrain from attending the lesson.
2. Food allergy & Dietary Requirements:
Our lessons use a set of essential ingredients that cannot always be substituted. If you have any food allergies or specific dietary requirements, please get in touch with us in advance so we can advise you accordingly. While we take care in our preparation, please note that our kitchen is not free from cross-contamination.
We’re always working on developing new classes to be as inclusive as possible and would love to hear your ideas. Feel free to share what you’d like to see next at Comptoir Bakery.
If you have any specific conditions (such as disabilities, pregnancy, epilepsy, learning difficulties, or similar), please let us know ahead of time so we can ensure the best possible experience for you.
3. Age requirement
The lessons are open for anyone above 16 years old.
4. Companion Ticket Policy
We’re happy to offer companion tickets for those who need a little extra support to enjoy our classes comfortably.
Companion tickets are available for £20 + VAT and can be purchased alongside a full-price class ticket. They’re designed for a companion who is attending purely to support a participant, for example with translation, accessibility needs, or a disability.
Companion tickets are arranged by request. After purchasing a full-price class ticket, please email workshop@comptoirbakery.co.uk and we’ll be happy to help.
Companions are very welcome to be present during the class, but they won’t take part in the baking activities. As they won’t be baking, no apron is provided.
To say thank you for joining us, companion ticket holders will enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee on arrival (excluding special drinks), as well as a snack during the break.
Please note that companion tickets are intended for support purposes only and aren’t suitable for children or as a replacement for a standard class ticket. Anyone wishing to actively participate in the class will need to purchase a full-price ticket.
To keep things fair for everyone, we may decline or withdraw a companion ticket if it’s not being used for its intended purpose.
5. Payment
The booking needs to be fully paid before the start of the lesson. There are no provisional bookings and the place has no guarantee until we receive full payment.
6. Refund policy:
If your written request is received more than 30 days before the event is due to begin, you will be entitled to a full refund of the amount paid, less the administrative fee. Every request should be emailed at workshop@comptoirbakery.co.uk. All request received later will not be considered. A fee of £15 + VAT per booking applies.
7. Rescheduling :
Rescheduling of bookings is available provided you give at least 15 days' notice prior to the class. A fee of £15 + VAT per booking applies. Requests made less than 15 days prior to the class cannot be accepted.
8. No-Show Policy :
If a participant does not attend the class and fails to provide notice, this will be treated as a no-show. No refunds or rescheduling will be available for no-shows.
9. Waitlist Policy :
If a workshop is fully booked, you may add yourself to the waitlist. The waitlist is not a confirmed booking and does not guarantee a spot in the workshop. When you join the waitlist, the system automatically creates a ranking based on sign-up order. If a spot becomes available, the first person on the waitlist will be contacted automatically and given the opportunity to book. If you do not respond or complete payment within the given timeframe of 30 minutes, the spot will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
10. Company cancellation
In the unforeseen event that Comptoir Bakery has to cancel a class, we will process the full repayment of the booking.
We will keep the right to cancel any course at any time.
11. Lateness Policy :
Classes will start at the scheduled time, regardless of late arrivals. Late participants are welcome to join, but the workshop cannot be repeated for them. Participants are responsible for catching up on any missed content.
12. Acceptance :
By booking a class, participants acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions. It is the responsibility of the participant to check class details (time, location, and requirements) before attending.
13. Retail Discount Policy:
Customers attending a workshop receive a 10% discount on retail shop items on the day of their workshop only. This discount is valid exclusively at the workshop location and cannot be redeemed at any other branch, including the Maltby location. The discount does not apply to pottery or ceramic items, alcohol, or any excluded products, and it cannot be combined with other offers. The discount must be used on the same day as the workshop and cannot be applied retroactively or on any other date.
14. Workshop Class Pass : Buy 4 Classes, Get the 5th Free :
Offer Details
The Workshop Class Pass entitles the holder to attend 5 workshop classes for the price of 4. The fifth class is provided free of charge as part of this promotional offer.
Validity Period
The pass is valid for 12 months (1 year) from the date of purchase. All classes must be booked within this period.
Expiry & Unused Classes
Any unused classes remaining after the expiry date will be forfeited. No extensions, refunds, or credits will be issued for unused sessions.
Non-Refundable
All Workshop Class Pass purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable to cash, whether used partially or in full.
Flexible Usage
The Workshop Class Pass is issued to a single purchaser (the “Pass Holder”) but may be used to book multiple spaces in a single workshop, provided that:

All bookings are made by the Pass Holder, and

The Pass Holder is responsible for managing and coordinating all attendees booked under the pass
The pass may be used for friends, family, or colleagues, but cannot be transferred or resold to another individual for independent use.
Ticket Type Restriction
The Workshop Class Pass is valid only for individual tickets. It cannot be used for duo tickets.
Changes to Workshops
We reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel workshops where necessary. In such cases, we will offer an alternative date or class.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
All classes booked using the Workshop Class Pass are subject to the same cancellation and rescheduling policy as standard individual ticket bookings.
Availability
Workshops are subject to scheduling and availability. We do not guarantee availability for specific dates or sessions.
Misuse of Pass
We reserve the right to revoke or refuse use of the pass if misuse, abuse, or breach of these terms is suspected.
15. We provide
For this workshop, there’s no need to bring anything with you. We provide all the necessary equipment and materials to ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable experience. You’ll also receive a recycled, branded paper bag, along with the appropriate box or paper, so you can safely take your pastries or baked goods home.
16. Use of the lesson content: Recipes and course material
We are very proud of our recipes and lessons, sharing and transmitting the knowledge is one of our values. You can share the recipes with your friends, family or colleagues. You cannot sell or make money out of our lesson material.
17. Use of the lesson content: Filming
You can film your lesson with any kind of equipment. The limit being it shouldn’t be on the way of the lesson. The teacher has full right to give you the right recommendations. We ask you to only film your work and not film the other attendants or teachers for privacy.
18. Privacy and liability
We do not store or share your credit card details. All other terms are on the page “Privacy”
